Arizona FBOs Boom Over Super Bowl Weekend

From Thursday, Feb. 9 through Monday, Feb. 13, the 8 FBOs near Glendale, AZ where the Super Bowl was held saw over 1,700 aircraft arrive/depart during the 5 day span. Cutter Aviation at PHX handled 481 aircraft over the 5 day span. Scottsdale (SDL) and Phoenix (PHX) airports saw the most private traffic, tallying 623 and 533 arrivals each. After the game between 9pm and 12am, more than 900 private aircraft departed the 8 region airports, with SDL & PHX leading the departure count with 243 departures each. Seems like that airport reservation idea didn't phase anyone!
