Severe Turbulence Injures 7

On Jan. 7, an Air Astana flight experienced turbulence severe enough to injure 7. The flight was half an hour into the 1 hour flight from Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan when the turbulence occurred. This is the second severe turbulence report to cause injuries, coming a few weeks after a Hawaiian Airlines flight inbound for Honolulu encountered severe turbulence, injuring 35.
