American Cutting 3 International Short-Hauls

American announced on Jan. 22 that it will be exiting 3 cities in Latin America starting as early as Feb. 28. Culiacan, Mexico (CUL) is the first route to be dropped, with Samana, Dominican Republic (AZS) and San Andres Island, Columbia (ADZ) ending May 8. All of these destinations were added in 2021, with American now saying "weak demand in these markets and the regional pilot shortage affecting the airline industry, American Airlines has made the difficult decision to end these services."
