Boeing Halts 787 Deliveries Due to "Fuselage Issue"

Another fuselage issue has plagued the 787 delivery timeline, this one deemed "an analysis error" by Boeing. Boeing says that fuselage components relating to the forward pressure bulkhead will need additional analysis before deliveries can be resumed. The manufacturer assures that there is no immediate safety threat to the in-service fleet, that it is in contact with customers, and is working with the FAA to solve the issue. Boeing says its near-future deliveries will be impacted but doesn't expect "a change to our production and delivery outlook for the year.” Last year, the FAA banned Boeing from self-certifying the completion of each 787 after production and inspection flaws surfaced. Boeing is still expecting to deliver 70-80 787's this year.
