Flair Airlines Cancels Flights After 4 Aircraft Seized

Have you ever seen that fiction TV show "Airplane Repo" on Discovery? Well it's happened in real life, as Flair Airlines was late on its lease payment on four of its Boeing 737s. The four aircraft were seized at different airports across Canada by the NY-based hedge fund that leased them, disrupting hundreds of Flair passengers. The airline was 5 days late on its payments and says, "it had no warning of the seizures." Flair has since made its payments but it's unclear if that will be enough to reinstate its contract with the leasing company. Flair had 3 backup aircraft on standby to fill the cancellation gap, fortunately, mitigating passenger displeasure.
