Mid-Air Collision Kills 4 in Winter Haven, FL

On Mar. 7, two aircraft collided mid-air near Winter Haven airport (GIF) in Florida. The two aircraft were identified as a Piper PA-28-161 belonging to Sunrise Aviation & operating on behalf of Polk State College, and a Piper J-3 Cub on floats belonging to Jack Brown's Seaplane Base. The 2 occupants in each aircraft were killed, with three of the four victims being identified thus far. The NTSB & FAA will be investigating.
