Phenom Crashes On Takeoff, Kills One

On Jan. 2 in Provo, UT a Phenom 300 crashed immediately after takeoff. The pilot was killed in the crash, with the other front seat occupant being seriously injured. The other two passengers were minorly injured. The Phenom was bound for Chino, CA prior to the accident, with witnesses saying the Embraer climbed 10 feet prior to crashing. Weather prior to N555NR's departure was reported IFR, light snow/mist, 3SM visibility, 800ft OVC and a zero temp/dewpoint spread. The NTSB will investigate.
